A password-free request keeps account access with you
This request needs a public reference, not a X password. Never enter a password, one-time code, recovery code, session cookie, private invitation, payment credential or device-access token. The page does not sign in to X, publish content, read private messages or change account settings.
A no-password request can still ask for contact details at the final stage so a request can be identified and followed up. Those details are separate from social credentials. Read the data notice before submitting and leave the page if any other site asks you to weaken account security.

What a follower request describes
A follower count describes a relationship with an account, not a promise that every follower will read the next post. On X, this request concerns the public profile or channel you identify.
