What Pinterest ID finder does

Public profile responses may include a user ID, biography, image, follower and following counts, Pin count and board count. These totals describe different parts of the profile and should not be added together.

Which username or ID should you enter?

How to read the returned fields

The ID is displayed as text so long values are not rounded. Use Copy ID to preserve every digit or character. If the source omits the ID, the page says Not returned rather than substituting a username.

A result is a public snapshot, not proof of ownership or an endorsement of the account. Keep identifiers and links attached to any counts you save so the record remains understandable later.

Keep the ID separate from the username

A username is the readable handle people use to find an account. A display name is the label shown on the profile. The account ID is a separate identifier returned by the source. A post, video or playlist can also have its own ID, so first check which type of identifier the destination system expects.

For example, a form asking for a channel ID should not receive a video ID copied from a watch link. Confirm the returned account name before copying its ID. If no ID is supplied, do not substitute the follower count, handle or an ID found inside a recent post.

Copy long identifiers without rounding

Use the copy control and store the result as text. Long numeric identifiers can exceed the precision supported by spreadsheet number cells and some software. A rounded value may look similar but identify nothing, or identify a different record.

Before pasting into a spreadsheet, set the destination column to plain text. After importing or exporting CSV, compare the complete value with the original. Avoid scientific notation, thousands separators, spaces and removed leading characters. A channel ID containing letters must preserve its exact spelling.

Build an account reference you can check later

Keep a small reference containing platform, ID, current handle, public URL and lookup date. This gives a colleague enough context to check that the ID belongs to the intended account. The identifier alone does not describe the account’s current audience, activity or ownership.

Use IDs only where the receiving tool explicitly asks for them. Many normal sharing and service forms expect a public profile URL instead. An ID lookup does not grant access to private content, management permissions or an account login.

Missing results and freshness

A repeated identical lookup may reuse a result for up to one minute. The displayed time records when this page received the result, not a guarantee that Pinterest updated every field at that moment.

An empty field, unavailable image or failed request can reflect source availability, changed links or temporary limits. Check the spelling and public visibility, then try again later. Do not repeatedly submit the same request while one is running.

Verification is valid for up to ten minutes or ten requests. If it expires, complete it again. The tool never asks for your social media password, recovery code or browser cookies.
