Keep the ID beside the account context

Record the username you requested and the time of the lookup with the returned ID. A display name alone may not distinguish similar accounts. Keeping the fields together makes a later manual comparison clearer without claiming that the tool verified account ownership.

For an illustrative record, use separate columns for platform, requested username, returned ID and observed time. Do not mix IDs from different platforms in one unlabeled column. A number that is meaningful to one service is not automatically meaningful to another service or application.

Use only what was actually returned

If the source omits the ID, the correct result is that it was not returned. The tool does not derive an ID from a profile picture, username spelling or a different identifier field. On TikTok, a separate token such as a secondary account reference should not be assumed to be the numeric ID shown here.

An ID does not let you sign in, read private posts or change the account. It is not a password, recovery credential or proof of a person’s identity. Before sharing a record with another system, check which platform and identifier type that system actually expects.

Read Instagram fields in their proper context

The public Instagram response can include an account name, biography, verification-badge field and counters for followers, following and posts. Availability depends on the source. A field missing from that response is not evidence that the account has zero activity or has failed an assessment. The tool labels missing values rather than filling them with guessed numbers.

Keep the entered username alongside the result when checking the profile you intended to review. A similar display name is not enough to establish identity. If you manage the account, compare public presentation with your own records and use native account insights for information that is not public. The lookup does not reveal follower identities or individual profile visitors.

Make one deliberate public lookup

Enter one public username, with or without a leading @, and confirm the spelling before submitting. The lookup uses a separate Tools account when the feature is open. It does not accept a list for bulk processing or use your panel password as a social-media credential. If the feature is unavailable, a sample layout is not a live result.

The profile tools share up to five charged or uncertain lookups per Tools account over a rolling 24 hours. A repeated page refresh is not a reliable way to obtain fresher source data. The server decides whether a result can be served from cache, and a dispatched request can still count when its cost is uncertain.

Give an Instagram visitor a reason to stay

Build your profile around a promise a new visitor can understand quickly. A ceramic artist might show finished pieces, explain one making technique and answer a common care question. Those three themes create a recognisable portfolio without making every post a sales announcement. Write a biography that identifies your work, who it is for and the most useful next step. Use pinned posts to introduce the account, show a representative example and explain how to explore further.

Turn recurring questions into a small content series. If people ask how an item is made, plan a process Reel, a detailed photo carousel and a follow-up answering one practical question. Make each item useful on its own. In comments, answer the actual question before directing someone elsewhere. When native Insights are available to your account, compare similar posts over the same period and use the results to choose a specific improvement for the next piece.
